The Super Eagles of Nigeria, even without John Obi Mikel showed wonderful class as they knocked out African Cup Of Nations (AFCON) defending champions,  Cameroon in a five-goal last-16 thriller to setup a quarter final class with South Africa who stunned host Egypt with 1-0.

Super Eagles via Odion Ighalo took the lead in first half but goals from Stephane Bahoken and Clinton Njie in the 41st and 44th minutes saw Cameroon lead 2-1 at half-time in Alexandria, Egypt.

In the second half, two goals in three minutes swung the game back in Nigeria's favour and finished that way. Ighalo equalised before setting up Arsenal's Alex Iwobi to hit the winner.

Ighalo's deflected shot gave Nigeria the lead before Bahoken side-footed the equaliser after Christian Bassogog's cross. In an enthralling tie, Cameroon took the lead through Njie's composed finish.

Man-of-the-match Ighalo made it 2-2 with a volley after Ahmed Musa's chest down before Ighalo turned provider for Arsenal's Iwobi to slot in a dramatic decisive goal.
