The D-day is today being Saturday, February 23, 2019, Nigerians will finally go to the polls to vote for the President who will rule the country for the next four years, one week after its originally scheduled date. For the records, dates was shifted by INEC, citing security reasons.

There are a total of 71 presidential candidates for this year’s election, though we all know that 2 out of the 71 contestants are actually contesting..lol. Yea, thats the truth. The main contenders include: incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari (All Progressives Congress, APC) and former vice-president, Atiku Abubakar (Peoples Democratic Party, PDP).

Others include: Omoyele Sowore of the African Action Congress (AAC); Kingsley Moghalu of the Young Progressives Party (YPP); Sina Fagbenro-Byron of the KOWA Party; Fela Durotoye of the Alliance for New Nigeria (ANN) and Obadaiah Mailafia of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The elections is not devoid of violence as one death has been recorded so far, but what is hitting the polity and socials is the fact that Buhari didnt truth his wife to vote for him, hence he resorted to stylishly looking to his wife's paper and guess what, camera caught him red handed. Abi how can you explain what is going on in the photo below...?...lol

President Buhari and wife have casted there votes, same as the vice president, Yemi Osinbajo. The main opposition party candidate, Atiku Abubakar and his wife, as well as his vice, Peter Obi and wife have also casted there votes too. Most the prominent Nigeria politicians have also followed suit but Lai Muhamad couldn't exercise his civil right because the card reader rejected his finger prints. Is this a sign....?

Happening at Ago Palace Way, Isolo Lagos, votes by Nigerians were burnt after they had casted their votes. A lady shared this disturbing video where someone was shouting "this country is something else, they just burnt our votes".
This is even as people were on the run to flee from attack

Associate Professor Farooq Kperogi has reacted to the death of Demola, an OPC leader who was stoned to death in Lagos for snatching ballot box.
Kperogi shared the graphic video and wrote:
"This is a truly disturbing video. If you're squeamish, please don't watch it. A man identified as Demola, said to be an OPC leader, snatched a ballot box in Okota, Lagos, and was murdered barbarously. I hope this makes Buhari happy. Death is his penalty for ballot snatching"
