Nigeria Police Tackles Presidency, Say Inspector General Has No Query To Answer

In a country were the leaders are in loggerhead with the followers and even with the parastatals that make up the government. EFCC is in tussle with DSS, DSS and EFCC in tussle with the FG, NCS in tussle with NASS and just recently, Police, Army and FRSC officer clashed in Abuja, what a hell is happening?

Today, the Nigeria police is in tussle again with the Presidency over if the Inspector General have or don't have a query to answer over the flaunting of an order given to him by the president to move to Benue regarding the massacre of Fulani herdsmen.

In an audacious move, the Nigeria Police on Saturday refuted claims by Presidency officials that President Muhammadu Buhari had queried the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Ibrahim Idris, for his alleged disobedience to a presidential directive ordering him to relocate to Benue State in the aftermath of the New Year day massacre in the state.

Mr. Jimoh Moshood, newly promoted Assistant Commissioner of Police and Force Public Relations Officer, said firmly to THISDAY on phone;

“The IGP was not queried,”. "There is very clear issue on that, that he was not queried by the President.”
