Uber & Taxify Drivers In Nigeria Embark On A Strike Action Over Reduction In Fares, Others

Uber and Taxify Transportation Companies has incurred the wrath of Nigeria drivers following the decision they made to reduce the transport fares and increase commission. Uber/Taxify drivers, Lagos chapter, today are going on a strike action to protest the following:

1. Sudden (40%) reduction in fares.

2. 25% commission charged by Uber.

3. Riders verification .

4. Safety and insurance of drivers/partners.

Uber Technologies Inc. is a transportation network company headquartered in San Francisco, California, United States, operating in 570 cities worldwide. It develops, markets and operates the Uber car transportation and food delivery mobile apps.

This foreign companies have learned to treat Nigerians like fools in their own fatherland. This is because our government will sell the plight of this country to any highest bidder and will not give a damn in whatever decision they make. Take for instance DSTV.

Thank God this drivers are organized enough, at least protest the harsh conditions and unfavorable charges Uber and Taxify are charging in this country. I really give it to this drivers. Nonsense. Can A Nigeria owned company try this nonsense abroad? Why is it that life in this part of the world "especially to politicians" has no intrinsic value?
