Glo Says It Hasn't Slashes Its Data Volumes But With Conditions

Glo reduced their data volume yesterday and it has been trending on social media as many Nigerians vented their frustration over the issue. Worst part of it is that they didn't inform their customers before slashing their data volume to half the previous quantity.

Eg: N1000 - 3.2G but they slashed it to N1000 - 1.4G. The same thing is applicable to other data volumes.

Nigerians has however wondered what the Nigeria Communication Commission, NCC is doing. They are supposed to be the one regulating these telecom industries rather the telecom industries seem to be the one regulating NCC and the entire Nigerians.

A Glo customer took it upon himself to query Glo on why they thought it wise to slash data volumes without even informing their subscribers. Apparently Glo hasn't slashed their data volume yet but with a catch: If you subscribe before your data expiration, you data will not be slashed into half, if you also subscribe before 3 days after data expiration, your data will not be slashed but if you subscribe 4 or more days after data expiration, your data will be slashed.

People however are saying this is indeed a modern day slavery. Glo can now give you data subscription expiration and also give one a deadline to subscribe after expiration or face your data being slashed in half.

Telecoms in Nigeria are indeed regulating NCC and our citizens. Pathetic....

See the question he asked and the reply he got from Glo below.
