Breaking: EFCC To National Assembly - We Cannot Go After MMM Promoters

There are indications that EFCC may not be able to go after MMM promoters as they see them as people going about their own personal and private business which is not illegal. According to report from a source in EFCC, MMM is not an unlawful business as such we cannot go after the promoters of MMM.

Our questions to the National Assembly is ” What are we going to charge the promoters of MMM for? What law have they violated? What money has the system stolen?. All these and many more are questions that we need to consider before taking any actions. MMM does not have any office in the country where we can go and ask for details about their activities. So our hands are tight.

The source also went further to state that people who participate in MMM are doing so at their own risk. As such they would have themselves to blame for any negative outcome. It is not for us to tell them what to do with their money. Just as we do not stop people form investing on any legal business venture, we can not stop people from participating in MMM.

I listened to NTA three days ago and and was interested to hear from EFCC spokesman and what he said was straight to the point. He said and I quote:

"It's not Law enforcement that will stop MMM but awareness for people not to patronize it. The law enforcement is aware that MMM doesn’t go against any law of the land. That even their operatives may be participants. The truth is that the people sponsoring all these media war are majorly stock brokers.

The stock market is in shambles, they are the highest scam. So no sane Nigeria will allow his money to remain there after experiencing MMM. The banks are afraid not because they re not gaining alot from MMM but the deposits they use to loan out are gone. Depositors are breaking their fix deposits on daily basis and doing MMM. Our banks will be more of doing retail banking activities like transferring money than using people's money to amass wealth and keep the owners poor".

Many people have also argued the brain behind the National Assembly utterances siting that shutting down MMM will even spell further dome to Nigerians as many citizens have invested in the investment and definitely National Assembly will not refund them their money if they shut it down. Some one also said and i quote:

"Our Honrable House of Rep Members said that they aimed at protecting Nigeria’s citizens from being defraud by MMM. Find and good. Now, before they come to the conclusion and to their final decision to shutdown MMM in Nigeria, do they think of those Nigerians they claim to protect who had already invested their money in the MMM’s business?

If they finally shutdown MMM, will the House of Rep members and the Nigerian Government refund the monies to their beloved Citizens? Or will they cause more harms/hardship to her citizens they claim to protect? Or does it means that Nigerian government derives joy seeing her Citizens in abject poverty? Is that the reason they want to cause more havoc than good?

Please, our Honorable members should have a rethink.

Thank you. "
